This work was created for "Rotte Metropolitane" (metropolitan routes)  an annual exhibition for emerging young artists based in Florence, Italy.

 

The concept is based on the popular italian "peace flag", a rainbow flag with the sign "peace" on it. The rainbow flag was very popular in Italy among the "gay and lesbian" movement, than it has been adopted by the pacifist movement by adding the word "peace" to it.

The main concept was to highlight that our reality is not something fixed, but a continous stream of changements. By showing that the word "PEACE" is just a frame of the film ...PEACEWARPEACEWARPEACEWARPEACEWARPEACE... I wanted to also to start a reflection about the peace itself, which in my opinion is not the absence of war, but the harmony which can be reached by fully accepting and understanding the continous transformation fo our world.
